welcome back… again

10 Oct

Hi, there!

Ugh! Bad weekend! Lost my mind on Sunday, found it by Wednesday.

I feel badly for those who have felt my wrath, as it was undeserving. I think that the pressure of being out of work for 6 months and living minimally is growing old and it’s starting to come out periodically like a bad case of ‘Tourette’s’ or something.

Have had a lot of calls for jobs and … no interviews since being laid off in late March. This is like 2008-2010 redux! When I was out of work for 2 years straight! I wasn’t ready for that, or this time, either.

“Hang in there!”

Since I’m in school now, I really don’t care what I do for work that much, I just want to work again.

I’ve seriously considered possibly leaving California at this point, I’ve been here for 26 years, though and the thought of moving out-of-state is not only a scary prospect but, doing so alone is not a comforting thought, either.

The plan was to stay put until I finished school sometime in late 2014, but, I’m locked into a lease I can’t afford until at least March 2013.

Once again, it sucks to be me!

A bit of good news, I’m now on Twitter, please feel free to follow my tweets @…

…and I’ve also created a button to my Pinterest link to view some of my favorite and calming pics that I’ve collected through the past year @…

Take care, talk soon,

I can understand being in a place of frustration. After 3 powerful women in my life passed: My aunt May 2010 to brain tumor, My Mom March 2011 to a failed heart transplant, & another aunt January 2012 to cancer. I felt like blah & got very comfortable with my couch. Not good when I make a living as a motivational trainer & keeping others beautiful. I re-read: A Setback is a Setup for a Comeback. I had to remotivate myself! I knew God called me to something more powerful than my couch & just because I bought a new one, I didn’t change my circumstances. I’m up & at it again! This post reminds me we all go through but we all can bounce back! Tell me what you do, perhaps I may have a job for you!

Thanks so much for being so understanding. It’s been a rough week. I do technical writing, data analysis and support, Web content support, project support and coordination within the technology sector. I live in northern California. Thanks again for being so supportive. It is greatly appreciated. You made my day! 🙂 -di
