keeping in touch…

20 Oct

Sequoia National Forest, Northern California.

Hi, There!

Well, it looks like my mother’s illness has become very serious and she is starting chemotherapy today for a lung tumor that has spread to her liver and leaning on her heart and esophagus. It sounds like she needs to take a time out and see if she can pull through this.

Anyway, I keep forgetting to post this really cool live stream to my favorite radio station to listen to on Sundays, KFOG, in San Francisco, California. On Sunday Mornings they have a show called ‘Acoustic Sunrise’ and during late afternoons/early evenings on Sunday they have a similar show called ‘Acoustic Sunset’.

I’m telling you about this because, its relaxing to listen to, sort of like if you went to hear someone in a bar or coffee-house playing music, except it’s the acoustic version of popular rock, folk and pop songs. I’ve listened to this station for almost 20 years! But, now they stream worldwide on the Web:

Hope you all have an awesome Sunday!

Take care, talk soon,

Di, While I am very sorry for the difficult news about your mother I rather enjoy your blog. I really love the visuals! The colors are so serene and the photos are beautiful. This is the kind of site that should be my wallpaper at work! My job has had me ridiculously stressed out (plus three classes worth of homework) and all-around icky inside and I have been driving home listening to Sade Radio or Classical Crossovers. I just can’t handle the commute with my fuse as short as it’s been.

I had troubles with my blog in trying to link sites to it. You used things very creatively. You should tutor blog hopefulls! While I think my writing has the potential to amuse my page is not what I’d like it to be. I don’t know that I will keep working at it or leave it to wallow in the shadows of forgotten blogs.

    Great work, and good luck!

Thank you, Kathleen. This was so validating and inspiring to read after such a couple of rough weeks. When I am working I find it difficult to handle stress, as well. So, I can totally relate. You’ve giving me faith that I should continue development of this site after the class has concluded. Hang in there and hope to stay in contact after Finals. Thank you once again. -di
